Gratitude - An ungrateful person is inhuman - Kingsley Fanwo

A soft-sell magazine sent its crew members to interview me in 2017 on issues of life and style. After talking about everything we should, the beautiful reporter asked me about my biggest strength.  "Gratitude", I retorted without thinking. The answer is a default in my head. My biggest strength is undoubtedly my ability to be grateful for small and big favors.

I have been so lucky in life to have received favour from people. Some food when I was so hungry. Some clothes when I didn't have any. Some chipped in words to save my life. Some became my destiny helpers.

I appreciate it All.

I met a woman recently and we both wept. She is very old now. She sent me food some close to 30 years ago on a day I was so hungry.  Her daughter sent me a message that there was nothing to eat in school last year. I flashed back to what her mum did for me. I didn't have money. I begged my Account Officer to borrow me money and sent it to her.  Her mum delivered me from hunger. She shouldn't starve while I could afford food.

When people call me names for defending Alh. Yahaya Bello, some would want to defend me by saying: "Oh leave him, he is working for his pay". It is beyond the pay. It is a subconscious determination to repay his love and confidence. It is an eternal commitment to him for being a destiny helper. Who am I?  Some people are sent to your life to help you. Be grateful to them. Show gratitude to their generations.

An ungrateful person is inhuman.

Someone told me recently that people only remember what they are eating now. He wanted to discourage me from doing good.  I do not do good to get good. I do good to show appreciation to God Almighty, My Boss and Mentor, and all that have assisted me in life.

There is someone who was very helpful to me. Recently, some people felt we had a crisis. I told them I will never fight him. No one fights a benefactor and remains the same.

Be grateful. Be grateful.

Just felt like sharing this so that our wonderful people here can understand the meaning of gratitude. The likes of Mr. Dennis, Mr. Sege Dudu, Hon. Star, Timothy, Mrs. Olukomogbon, and many others will tell you I say this always.

If I die tomorrow, I want to be remembered as a grateful man.
