GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM PRINCESS (MRS.) ROSEMARY HADISAH OSULA-ATU
...ably represented by Dr. A. J.Alonge
*PROTOCOLS...
I have been mandated by Princess (Mrs.) Rosemary Hadessah Osula-Atu, the City People Philanthropist of the Year Awardee to deliver her goodwill message to Mr. Seye Kehinde and his management team as well as all of us that are gathered here this evening for this special occasion.
"I am Princess Rosemary Hadessah Osula-Atu and by God's Grace, the Founder and Initiator of Rosula Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).
My father and my linage is of the Royal Osula of Bénin who was the son of Aghayubini, the daughter of Oba Osemwende (King Osemwende) .
I grew up with a background of responsibility and benevolence, which my parents ingrained in me very early in life, which has remained my guiding principle to bring order to wherever I find myself. As a little girl, I observed with admiration, the willingness of my mother to give her last penny to help the needy, this has greatly influenced and inspired me.
At Rosula Foundation we work to alleviate human suffering by providing aid, support, and opportunities to the poor and less privileged around us, through Education, Empowerment, and Humanitarian Services. We are also deeply involved in Local Economic Development (LED), through infrastructural development such as roads. Once I realised and understood that life is just a gift from God, then there is nothing too big for me to give.
As part of my pact to support communities during the Covid-19 pandemic, Rosula Foundation was in over 50 different locations in Nigeria, sharing food and medical palliatives in Lagos State, Benue State, Abuja, Oyo and Ogun State, reaching out to thousands of families.
My conviction is that I am playing my part to ensure that our society is better and safer for everyone.
No doubt, awards like this, is a source of encouragement for us at Rosula Foundation to furge ahead in our effort to give hope to humanity.
In conclusion, these are the following areas that are receiving our attention:
1. Scholarship to hundreds of indigent students in both private universities
2. Food security through the establishment of Food Bank across Nigeria.
3. Support for the Aged and the vulnerable in local communities.
4. Providing Platform for Led through Youth Development and Empowerment.
5. Empowerment of market men and women with interest-free loans.
6. Provision of affordable Housing and market stores for small traders.
7. Fight against Covid-19 and Hunger through the distribution of food and medical palliatives.
8. Provision of housing for men of the Nigerian Police.
