About the conference?
LIPIC offers participants the opportunity to share experience,
collaborate and project the future of the profession. The conference is
participatory and propels ideas generation and dissemination in a series of
formats. It will also afford participants
the opportunity to have first-hand reports of new trends and emerging
technologies that could propel teaching, research and practice in the field of
library and information science. Also, various organizations and agencies
responsible for the acquisition, processing, and dissemination of information
resources will be on the ground to network with individuals and institutions for
ease of information access.
Submission of Abstracts
•Future-oriented thought pieces arising out of current research
•Research papers presenting theoretical solutions, with a clear
illustration on how these solutions can be applied
•Positions and opinions on some aspect of practice
•Work-in-progress initiatives or pilot descriptions, sufficiently mature
to warrant attention
•Experiences and case studies specifying requirements, challenges or
opportunities
•Best practices
Abstract Submission
Guidelines
Please read the
submission guidelines before submitting an abstract.
- Abstract
review committee will do plagiarism test of the abstract
- All
abstracts should be sent to optimisticconcept@gmail.com
- Abstracts
must be received by the announced deadline. 13 March 2020
- Abstracts received after the deadline may
not be considered.
- Limitations:
- Abstracts
should not be more than 300 words
- One
individual may not submit more than four abstracts
- Plagiarized
abstracts will be disqualified
- Presenting
authors of abstracts must be registered and paid participants.
- Registration
must be made by 20 March, 2020 to guarantee inclusion of the abstract
in the conference schedule of presentations
- The
presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware
of the content of the abstract before submission.
- All
abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English or French with
accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
- Abstracts
must be original and must not be or have been published or presented in
other conferences
- Disclosure
of Conflicts of Interest: Abstract submitters will be required to disclose
any conflict of interest in the submission form.
