Key Takeaways from the presentation of Pastor Dele Olowu's Europe Continental Overseer of RCCG  at Netherlands National Men's Fellowship Conference 2023 held on Saturday 23rd September 2023 in the Hague, the Netherlands

Pastor Dele Olowu, Europe Continental Overseer of RCCG gave an insightful session on "Stewardship of Men's Leadership" during the recent National Men's Fellowship Conference 2023, which was held at RCCG Den Haag, the Netherlands. The programme's main focus was on the theme "God Defined Man." This motivating event challenged participants  to embrace their duties as men in accordance with God's creation. In this blog, we will highlight the main lessons and takeaways from this event.

• The Role of Men as God's Appointed Leaders in their homes: Pastor Olowu emphasised that men were appointed by God to be the leaders of their houses. He stated that only being male is insufficient to identify a man, and that true manliness is distinguished by submission to the authority of God. It was emphasised to the men that God is the supreme authority, and that they are to exercise leadership not only in their households but in all facets of life, and that they should remember this.

• Stewardship in Uncertain Times: As was emphasised throughout the seminar, stewardship is the proper management of what has been entrusted to us. In uncertain times, this can be challenging. Using passages from the Bible such as 1 Timothy 4:2, 1 Corinthians 4:2, and Micah 6:8, Pastor Olowu drew attention to the difficulties that exist in today's world, where many people have abandoned their faith. He emphasised that stewards had a responsibility to remain faithful during times like these.

• The Proportions of God: Mercy, Justice, and Humbleness   The topics of justice, kindness, and humility were discussed during the seminar. These are the three pillars that make up God's measure for men. Even in the process of childrearing, a just society must adhere to the principles of justice, accountability, and objectivity. Forgiveness and protection are essential components of mercy towards those who are helpless and defenceless. According to Psalm 41:3 and 1 Peter 2:9, one of the primary functions of humility is to act as a reminder that God has a plan for the leadership of men.

• The Duties of Men According to Revelation 5:10 and 12, men were exhorted to acknowledge their divine calling to rule the world. In light of this, men were charged with the responsibilities of recognising and accepting their calling. The final point of the seminar was to stress the importance of humility as the genuine prize for achieving unity. Men were given the task to humble themselves before God in a variety of ways, including as via prayer, given, and evangelism.

At the end of Pastor Dele Olowu's session at the National Men's Fellowship Conference 2023, participants walked away with a revitalised sense of purpose as well as a greater comprehension of what it means to be a man who is defined by God. As men, we have a responsibility to accept leadership responsibilities, to exercise stewardship even in difficult circumstances, and to uphold justice, kindness, and humility as the guiding values that direct our actions. It is only through the performance of these roles  that we will be able to realise our divine destiny and have a good influence on the world around us.
