But a profound academic voyage.
Dr. Ukaiko Bitrus-Ojiambo, I salute your courage,
A lifetime achievement, in knowledge, you glide.

Your pain and your joy on this voyage are unimaginable
Tears of disappointment, cry of joy profound,
In the depths of your journey, emotions abound.
Who can fathom the depths of this emotion?

I recall your encouragement during my Ph.D. second year in 2016, 
Little did I know, as I faced the storm, you, too,
were sailing  on, into your fourth year of Ph.D. turbulent
Determination, hard work, and perseverance unfold,
The narrative of your journey is beautifully told.
Deserving of happiness, and fulfillment so sweet. 

Congratulations, Daktari Ukaiko, let jubilation pour.
"Na go de Baba," echoes the triumphant songs,
The voyage ended in jubilation
A celebration of victory, in scholarly glee.
