Postgraduate Students Academic writing capability in Africa

I attended ICAfrica 2016 at Daystars University Kenya. 19-21 October, 2016

It was a great experience for me. I have opportunity to building my knowledge in media and communication and had a chances to meet distinguished communication researchers and across the world.
Prof Rebecca Oladipo and other Nigerian participants

I had opportunity to chair Parallel Session 2 which is on "Research and Media Ethics".
This paper, "In that Meeting the Global Standards for Academic Writing: A Case of Postgraduate Students’ Theses Writing at Daystar University" presented by Prof Rebecca Oladipo of Daystar University, Kenya stirred an intensive debate on the quality of academic writing in Africa.
It is evidence that postgraduate students' academic writing in Africa is below global standard. Therefore, there is an urgent call for improvement in postgraduate students writing capability.  Universities postgraduate education should emphasis and teach global writing standard.
What is your opinion?
