Dr. Ayodele John Alonge - Emerging Technology Librarian, University of Ibadan
Dr. Ayodele John Alonge is a Graduate of Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA), Nairobi Kenya and a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN). Ayodele holds Ph.D. in Communication and Information Studies from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Nairobi, Kenya; Ayodele works as Emerging Technology Librarian at University of Ibadan Library and teaches Book Publishing courses and Information Communication Technology (ICT) related courses at the Department of Library Archrival and Information Studies (LARIS), University of Ibadan. He also serves as Regional Adviser -Sub-Saharan Africa Region for Emerald Group Publishing, United Kingdom
Dr. Marlene Holmner holds a DPhil in Information Science from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Information Science at the University of Pretoria. Dr. Holmner’s research interests lie in the field of Information Ethics, Indigenous Knowledge, ICT for Development, Information and Knowledge Society, Institutional Repositories, Digitization, Mobile Technologies, Networking Essentials as well as Curriculum Development.
Moderator: Mrs. Nthabiseng Kotsokoane - Chairperson of Academic Section, AfLIA
Mrs. Nthabiseng Kotsokoane is a renowned library professional whose passionate efforts to advance LIS in Africa and beyond is widely acknowledged. Mrs. Kotsokoane currently doubles as the Chairperson of Academic Section for AfLIA and the Secretary for IFLA Africa Section. She is also the Director of Library Services for Monash South Africa Library and Library Commons South Africa. Her research and professional interests include Information Technology, Library Management, Change Management, Copyright Law, Library Advocacy and Library 2.0, Ebooks and Strategic Planning.
