University of Ibadan gets new VC

Professor Kayode Adebowale has been named Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (UI) by John Odigie Oyegun, Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the University's Governing Council.
Oyegun made the announcement during press conference held shortly after the university's council screened eight contenders for the high position.

Professor Adeyinka Aderinto, the sitting Vice Chancellor Prof A.B Ekanola, Professor Ebenezer Olatunde Farounbi, Professor Babatunde Lawal Salako, and George Olusegun Ademowo were among the Oyegun made the announcement during press conference held shortly after the university's council screened eight contenders for the high position.

Professor Adeyinka Aderinto, the sitting Vice Chancellor Prof A.B Ekanola, Professor Ebenezer Olatunde Farounbi, Professor Babatunde Lawal Salako, and George Olusegun Ademowo were among the eight finalists picked from total of 15 contenders.
